My life is quickly progressing. I’ve gone from eating at a coffee table for the past 4+ years, to a lovely farm table. I no longer have to pull out an entire drawer in order to open another one in my dresser. And now I’ve upgraded from lying on bed with my laptop on top of my chest to a bright white, clean workspace. My mom recently picked up this set from Home Depot as a apartment warming gift. Tim put it together on Monday and voila! A place to work, feels so good! I highly recommend it – it’s sturdy and Martha Stewart.
I absolutely love the shape & patterns of these John Robshaw headboards. Many people have basic solid duvets & sheets, so this is a great way to add some subtle color into a room.
How cool would it be to go to sleep every night in sheets like these? I fell in love with Deny Designs sheets. There’s even an option to make your own sheets with a photo. Priced at around $199 for a (twin) set – it’s definitely pricey, but if you’re someone like me who only sleeps with a fitted sheet (it always ends up at the end of the bed when I wake up, so I boycott them!) it can be affordable! Above are a few of my favorites!
As you may already know, I’m moving! This means I can’t really think about other things besides moving & furniture (which I never really cared about before). We have sold most of the little furniture we had and will be starting fresh which is a lot of fun because there are so many options out there.
The apt layout is one long rectangle with two pairs of french doors. I love how open it is but don’t want to clutter it up, so we are going to wait until we get in there to make some decisions. In the meantime, I’ve been searching for little trinkets and found a ton on Etsy. Here are a few that are at the top of my list.
Have you ever heard of paintable wallpaper? I’m kinda obsessed. All the papers are made by Graham & Brown. The wallpapers are textured and can be used alone (white), but if you are looking for a pop – just paint over it. The small squares would look amazing on a wall.
Chairs from this Etsy shop make me wish I either a) had some extra bucks in my bank account and/or b) knew how to upholster. A conversation piece for any room, these patterns are gorgeous!
Now that taxes are done & the winter jackets are away, I’m ready to get organized. The way our room is set up, our closet is in the living room (I know!) & we are skimping by with one dresser (i get two drawers & Tim gets one 🙂 On top of this, we have a lot of art supplies & miscellaneous items (like shells & matches), so I’d love any or all of these pieces to get organized.
This past weekend, my roommate painted a wall in our living room Benjamin Moore’s cool aqua. The color is refreshing & this one wall has completely changed the look of the room & has us in full makeover mode. Here are some pieces & ideas I’ve stumbled upon while shopping around, splurges & steals.
