Happy Friday! Here’s a little inspiration to get crafty this weekend (I need it!). Meet my new artist crush – Julia Goodman. In the photos above, Goodman is creating a papyrus solely of beets. Read more about Julia here via In the Make (my new favorite site). I kinda want to just move to California right now, so I can take one of her papermaking workshops.
My life is quickly progressing. I’ve gone from eating at a coffee table for the past 4+ years, to a lovely farm table. I no longer have to pull out an entire drawer in order to open another one in my dresser. And now I’ve upgraded from lying on bed with my laptop on top of my chest to a bright white, clean workspace. My mom recently picked up this set from Home Depot as a apartment warming gift. Tim put it together on Monday and voila! A place to work, feels so good! I highly recommend it – it’s sturdy and Martha Stewart.
Like most people, I could not stop watching the Olympics this weekend. There’s so much anticipation & you can never tell what is going to happen. Sadly, the work week has crept back up on us and I have resorted to admiring these Olympic beauties from Culture Label. Would be so fun to host an Olympic viewing party with those Olympic ring headpieces. So fun!
This week has been flipped upside down that I can’t even believe it’s Friday already (I know, I can’t believe I said that either!), but I’m excited about it! My three brothers, who now live on the west coast, are on their way home this weekend for the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival. Their film, Benny the Bum, will be screening tonight! Here’s the trailer if you’d like to take a peek! PS the cop in the trailer is my dad! Have a good one! xx

Happy June! Happy Friday! For the last month or so, I’ve been helping out at the lovely start up, Nearly Newlywed, an online boutique specializing in “nearly new” wedding dresses. This weekend is the photo shoot for the next collection, I’m beyond excited to help style & setup the shoot with Jackie, but also to see these amazing dresses! Wish us luck & follow NN on twitter or Facebook for some sneak peaks throughout the weekend! xx Have a good one!

Have you ever heard of paintable wallpaper? I’m kinda obsessed. All the papers are made by Graham & Brown. The wallpapers are textured and can be used alone (white), but if you are looking for a pop – just paint over it. The small squares would look amazing on a wall.
Happy Friday! This went by fast but I’m ready for the weekend. Tomorrow I’ll be attending Etsy’s first wedding event, To Have & To Hold. I’m excited to learn about new vendors & support the independent ones.
I just found out about this place, the Painting Lounge, in Williamsburg (Brooklyn) and I am trying to decide which night to go. For around $60 you can spend a few hours painting your favorite artists’ masterpiece. The Painting Lounge provides all the art supplies, all you have to do is show up and it’s BYOB 😉 A few years ago I went to Color Me Mine in Tribeca and it was one of the most relaxing nights ever. It would be fun to go with a group of friends or solo to meet some new ones.
