Happy Friday! Here’s a little inspiration to get crafty this weekend (I need it!). Meet my new artist crush – Julia Goodman. In the photos above, Goodman is creating a papyrus solely of beets. Read more about Julia here via In the Make (my new favorite site). I kinda want to just move to California right now, so I can take one of her papermaking workshops.
Eek! Long time, no see! Posting will be back to the regular soon, I’ve been too busy watching this. But in the meantime wanted to share with you this rad store Tim found – Aloha from Deer. Fun & quirky printed gear. I’d love a sweatshirt to cozy into.
PS – new little makeover coming to favorable mention. i’m beyond pumped. as soon as i know when it will go live, i will spread the word, xx
How cool would it be to go to sleep every night in sheets like these? I fell in love with Deny Designs sheets. There’s even an option to make your own sheets with a photo. Priced at around $199 for a (twin) set – it’s definitely pricey, but if you’re someone like me who only sleeps with a fitted sheet (it always ends up at the end of the bed when I wake up, so I boycott them!) it can be affordable! Above are a few of my favorites!
As you may already know, I’m moving! This means I can’t really think about other things besides moving & furniture (which I never really cared about before). We have sold most of the little furniture we had and will be starting fresh which is a lot of fun because there are so many options out there.
The apt layout is one long rectangle with two pairs of french doors. I love how open it is but don’t want to clutter it up, so we are going to wait until we get in there to make some decisions. In the meantime, I’ve been searching for little trinkets and found a ton on Etsy. Here are a few that are at the top of my list.
Spotted this video yesterday at Anthology Magazine and it’s so cool, I had to share! I’m dying to try some colored hot glue – found some here. If you are in the Houston area, definitely try to check out Yasuaki Onishi’s exhibit at the Rice Gallery.
I also loved these videographers, Mark & Angela Walley – I spent some time last night checking out a lot of them!
Happy Friday! This went by fast but I’m ready for the weekend. Tomorrow I’ll be attending Etsy’s first wedding event, To Have & To Hold. I’m excited to learn about new vendors & support the independent ones.
I just found out about this place, the Painting Lounge, in Williamsburg (Brooklyn) and I am trying to decide which night to go. For around $60 you can spend a few hours painting your favorite artists’ masterpiece. The Painting Lounge provides all the art supplies, all you have to do is show up and it’s BYOB 😉 A few years ago I went to Color Me Mine in Tribeca and it was one of the most relaxing nights ever. It would be fun to go with a group of friends or solo to meet some new ones.
This past weekend, my roommate painted a wall in our living room Benjamin Moore’s cool aqua. The color is refreshing & this one wall has completely changed the look of the room & has us in full makeover mode. Here are some pieces & ideas I’ve stumbled upon while shopping around, splurges & steals.
